ACT or SAT?
  • Should you take the ACT or the SAT?

Whilst the SAT and the ACT are both fairly similar exams that test roughly the same things, there are a few key differences it is useful to know about. This video takes you through the pros and cons of each test to help you decide.

If you are still unsure, there are two things you could do. Firstly, you could take a practice test of each the SAT and the ACT - see the links below.

For SAT practice tests, please see the College Board website  here.

To practice an ACT test in its computerised format, head over to the TestNav website (you do not need to login to access the Practice Test). Otherwise, official pdfs of past ACT papers can be found here.

Alternatively, I can provide you with a personalised diagnostic test made up of questions from both the SAT and the ACT, and we can discuss the results in a trial lesson to jointly decide on what test is best for you. If you would like to take a diagnostic test, please send me an email at adrian.g.may@gmail.com
